RE: My new toy

Nice bike. I tries the 4 stroke thing for 5 years on a 03 yz450. That beast is gone and now I ride an 08 yz250 2 stroke. The 2 stroke is way more fun to ride and I can fix it myself.
Are these bikes easy to work on or fix? I know nothing about 2 strokes. I changed all the fluids and mixed gas 30/01 per the specs.
Any info or suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks

I just bought myself a new toy. 01 Yamaha yz125. Should be good enough for me to chase my kids around and have some fun.

RE: BATTERY QUESTION

So if he goes with Costco 6 volts, how many really would he need? Again he camps 2-3 days in desert at a time. Why would you need 6 12 volt batteries anyway? He pretty much runs the generator morning and night for a couple hours.
How much are the Costco batteries running?
Thanks

BATTERY QUESTION

My brother has a 37 foot 5th wheel toy hauler he bought used. Dont know the make but has a couple slideouts and gen etc. He needs to replace the batteries and it has I think 6 12 volt batteries. Dont know why he would need that many batteries? What would you suggest for replacements? I told him 4 6 volts but I dont know for sure.
Thanks for the help.

RE: cleaning the grill at campground

I got rid of my coleman grill because I was tired of cleaning it after every trip and I bought weberQ. WeberQ is way better and not as much cleaning needed. I finally cleaned my weber Q and all I did was take the one screw out and remove the burner and then used simple green and water hose and it cleaned up nice.

RE: Security & crime rates for CG and state parks?

I have never been a victim but I have heard of all kinds of thefts. What a better target than campers with all the bikes and gear left out. I have heard of several incidents where hitches have been stolen.( that would be a nightmare)! As long as you make and effort and lock stuff up, thats the best you can do and you hope when you get up in the morning that your stuff is still there. A pair of bolt cutters will cut about any lock or cable. I had crazy idea once to tie strings with aluminum cans to items to act as alarm? (it may work).

RE: I cleaned my roof with uv protectant!

My main purpose this time for cleaning the roof is because I wanted to try the Dicor roof treatment uv stuff and try to eliminate some black streaks. I soon will be putting gutter extensions on. I dont really care if my roof is pure white or not. I also called my trailer manufacturer to ask about roof maintenance because my manual is about 3 pages long. The person told me that I never need to do anything because the roof is already treated???

RE: I cleaned my roof with uv protectant!

I used 303 for the first time. I figure if im paying on my trailer for the next 15 years it better stay nice. Im using the 303 on the lights and decals. I also used on the vents and ac cover while I was up there. It is a little pricy though. The spic and span works great for the roof and I just take the water hose up there with me.

I cleaned my roof with uv protectant!

I climbed up there and cleaned my roof with spic and span and then used the Dicor Roof protectant. I was on my hands and knees spraying and wiping one area at a time. The roof looks great! It wasnt that difficult of a job either. I guess if I had a long handle mop would be the way to go? I went ahead and washed the who trailer and used 303 on all the decals. My trailer looks great.
Just thought I would share my hard work and efforts to keep my trailer nice and shiny.....I have never used the Dicor products before. :B

RE: Eclipse Attitude

No major issues with my 08 Attitude 21ak. Im still having major issues with my Generac genertor!!!!!!!! Trailer is great though...
what is up with your generac??
I have had many posts here re my issues with this thing. My seconed trip out with my brand new trailer the generac decides to shut down and not re start. I take it to generac service center and they replace the oil temp switch. I go to desert again and same thing. It shuts down. I take it back to same service center(only one I can find, dealer is 65 miles away), and they decide to change the motor and put the newest motor on it. Well I go out again last week and again get stranded as it shuts down again. Took it to dealer this time and demanded a new one and they call me next day and say its a kinked fuel line behind the generator. :h

RE: I have had it with my generac generator!!

Wow Forty years working on gensets and that is a new one. How does a kinked fuel line grow.Thought I had heard it all. Is this the same shop that changed the engine. Would like to see them explain that to the factory. Yea the fuel line was kinked so we changed the engine.:h
Do you think they are full of it? The first two problems I had with it I took it to another place that does warr work on them. (Yes it took a lot of research to loct someone to work on them). This time I took it back to the dealer where I bought it from. 60 miles away. They said the re routed and fixed the kinked line and they made an adjustment on the govenor or what ever. The kinked fuel line solution really bothers me. Yes I ran it at home with the ac on for a while and it ran good. Really the whole time I was having problems with it I was thinking it wasnt gettting enought fuel. :?

RE: I have had it with my generac generator!!

They called me to pick up trailer the next day. They said I had a pinched fuel line behind the generator and when the line got hotter, the line kinked more. We will see.

RE: I have had it with my generac generator!!

Well today I drove my trailer down to the dealer 60 miles away. I told the service manager my issue. I told him im demanding an onan. He put that down on the work order and then suggested I too call the manufacture Eclipes, and let them know what I want them to do. I told the service guy that I shouldnt have to do that and that I paid a lot of money for this trailer and I have already been stranded 3 times with my generator failure. I got home and called the guy at Eclipes and he said no, you wont get an onan. He said maybe a replacement Gernerac. We exchanged a few words and I finaly told him I have all documentation and pictures and video of all my issues with my Gernerac and if I have to go the legal route than thats the route I will go. He said he would make a few phone calls and call me back but of course its now 6pm and he hasnt called back. I will fill you in with details as I get them.
